I’ve loved Pilates since I started attending classes in 2008. I then decided to undertake my teacher training in 2012 before qualifying in 2013. I trained at The Scott Studio affiliated to IPTA (Independent Pilates Teachers Association). This involved multiple case studies, both a practical and theoretical exam and over 100 hours of assisted teaching.
I started teaching classes in 2013, alongside a full time job and then I had my two children. An opportunity arose for me to take voluntary redundancy from my day job in April 2021 which I took and I am now teaching Pilates full time.
It’s a pleasure to teach Pilates and watch my clients experience the benefits that regular Pilates offers. I have worked with people with many different conditions, injuries and long term issues. Pilates is not a one size fits all exercise programme, the beauty of attending one of my classes is that I can offer everyone a class that is suitable for them.
