Pilates is a form of low impact exercise that aims to strengthen the whole body, whilst improving posture, flexibility and mobility. It can be done with or without equipment. 

 

What to expect from a Pilates class?

Pilates is a series of exercises paying particular attention to centre (also known as ‘core’). They are performed with control and precision so expect lots of detail. I will often offer a breathing pattern alongside the exercise. If you are a beginner I will always recommend you just breathe as there is already a lot to take in!
